This week we have a training session on Sunday.
Details as follows:

Time: 9.00am
Location: Field Opposite Ci Yuan CC, Hougang Ave 9, next to blk 917.

Notes:
- Bring own water bottles and boots.
- Toilet is located opposite the road at the CC.
- Pls bring shin guards.
- In the case of inclement weather (heavy downpour, thunderstorm, etc) game will be cancelled. Will inform u guys on the morning itself, so it's imperative I have your contact numbers.
- For those who drive, nearest parking is next to the the field.

Please inform your respective captains before Sunday whether you are attending training or not. sms to Sebas at 96201130, Dansen at 83441548. Captains please revert attendance to Jack on Sat night.

Please bring along $35 for payment of jersey.

Kelvin, Jia Jun, Dun Rong, Issac and Martin will be coming less for training due to O Levels this year.

Midland Wolves FC vs WTF (9 a side)
HT: 1-0

Scorers: BX, Gabriel, (Opponent own goal), Shawn, Jason
Cards: NIL

Line up: Gabriel, Alvin, PC, Dansen, Sebas, JJ, Naren, Ray, Wenjie
Subs: Syafiq, Shawn, Jason, Welson, Vincent, Yu Xiang, BX, MARK (Sub for opponent)

The field was unexpectedly small, hence we decided to switch from 11-a-side to 9-a-side. First half was relatively uneventful, with a lot of gameplay being focused in either team's defensive area. The centre mid for much of the first half was quiet due to the short pitch, of which was bypassed with long passes from the defence to the attack. Much of the opponent's attacks came to our left, which Dansen dealt with admirably. Our keeper had relatively an easy time with only the occasional catches from long shots. At the other end, we had sporadic chances though we had the better possession. We had a good chance with a freekick but was utterly wasted by some poor freekick tactical co-ordination with Wenjie and Sebas. Our attacks did not have the penetration. Ray, Wenjie and JJ weren't effective and they came off for BX, Syafiq and Welson. BX had more impact and gave plenty of penetration in our attacks, and eventually got the first goal. Syafiq's physical challenges also gave the opponents some problems, and in one incident he managed to break just ahead of his marker, and his dipping lob beat the keeper, but not the cross bar. 1-0 at half time.

After a spirited half time talk by Ramesh, the team rallied and played better (as usual). On the right of the field, BX had another shot from 25 yards out that beat the keeper, but not the bar. It rattled against the crossbar and bounced back out. Sebas was injured in a tackle when the opponent stepped on his hand, and he came off for Shawn. Naren, Alvin, Ray also came off for Yu Xiang, Vincent, Jason. Our stnad-in goal keeper had a great game, very good hands, fantastic positioning and commanding. He scored an unexpected goal when he caught a loose ball in his hands, and released a volley meant for the forwards. But the ball bounced into the box aread and over the helpless keeper who is out of position. 2-0. The opponents then replied with a goal that was very well worked. Some good passing and dribbling freed the opponent of the left and a good cross was meet with an equally good header that beat Gabriel. 2-1. Ray on for Syafiq, Alvin back on for Vincent. Ray provided some good running up front and had some good chances, once of which he was one on one with the keeper, but his touch left him right at the last moment after he rounded the keeper. In another run, his consistant pressure caused the opponent defender to head an aerial ball into thir own net. 3-1. An infringement near the 30 yard point presented Shawn with an opportunity and he duly obliged, putting the ball in the corner of the net. 4-1. Jason got his chance when he took the ball from the left and dribbled to the right, and released a low shot that beat the keeper to the bottom left corner. 5-1. Full time.

Somewhere in between, Mark came on to play for the opponent's team. XD

CAPTAINCY VOTING RESULTS:
The results of the voting for new captaincy for the next term since March are out!
The nominees are shortlisted by the coaches and managers, and picked via anonymous voting by the entire team.
The privileges of the Captains will be automatic selection for games, matches and tournaments.
The responsility of the Captains is to be the team members representative to the team management, to be leaders both on and off the field.
Each service term will be 6-8mths, after which a voting session will commence again.
